Perfect for Industrial IoT Prototyping

Powerful but documentation needs work
Hardware is top-notch with excellent thermal performance under load. However, the English documentation for the specific Kylin OS drivers could be more detailed. Still, a solid choice for developers.

Excellent Multi-OS Support
I tested this with both Ubuntu and UnionTech UOS. The boot times are fast, and the system stability is remarkable. The dual Gigabit Ethernet ports are essential for our network gateway setup.
Q: Does this board come with a pre-installed operating system?
A: The standard unit typically ships without an OS pre-installed on the eMMC, but we provide downloadable images for HarmonyOS, Android, Ubuntu, UOS, and Kylin OS on our official wiki.
Q: Is there active cooling included or do I need to buy a fan separately?
A: The board includes a passive aluminum heatsink sufficient for most loads. For sustained heavy AI workloads or high-temperature environments, we recommend adding a small active fan to the designated mounting holes.
Q: What is the power supply requirement for this board?
A: The board requires a 12V DC power supply with a minimum current rating of 3A. It uses a standard DC barrel jack connector. Using a lower amperage supply may cause instability under load.
Q: Can I connect two 8K monitors simultaneously?
A: Yes, the RK3588 supports dual 8K@60Hz output. You can use the two HDMI 2.1 ports or a combination of HDMI and DisplayPort to drive two 8K displays at the same time.
Q: Does the PCIe slot support NVMe SSDs directly?
A: Yes, the M.2 Key-M slot supports NVMe SSDs via PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. Please note that SATA M.2 drives are not supported on this specific slot.
