Perfect for learning Ultrascale architecture
As a student moving from Artix to Kintex, this board provided the perfect stepping stone. The on-board JTAG programmer saved me from buying extra hardware. Boot times are fast and stable.

Robust performance in factory environment

Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is top-notch and the FMC connector works perfectly with our custom daughter cards. The schematic could be slightly more detailed regarding power sequencing, but overall a solid purchase.

Excellent board for high-speed prototyping
The KU060 variant handles our complex signal processing algorithms without breaking a sweat. The PCIe interface was easy to bring up using the provided reference design. Highly recommended for industrial applications.

Good board, steep learning curve
The board itself is fantastic, but if you are new to Kintex Ultrascale, be prepared for a long setup time with Vivado. Once configured, the performance is incredible compared to older boards.
Q: Are drivers available for Windows 11?
A: Yes, we provide signed Windows 10 and 11 drivers for the PCIe interface and the on-board JTAG programmer. Linux drivers and example Makefiles are also available in the documentation pack.
Q: Can I use this board with a standard ATX power supply?
A: Directly, no. The board requires a 12V DC input via a barrel jack. You would need a separate 12V adapter or a breakout cable to connect an ATX PSU's 12V rail to the barrel jack connector.
Q: Is the source code for the PCIe DMA engine included?
A: Yes, the product package includes a link to our GitHub repository containing verified reference designs for the PCIe DMA engine, compatible with Vivado 2022.1 and later.
Q: What is the maximum capacity supported for the DDR4 SODIMM?
A: The board supports standard DDR4 SODIMMs up to 16GB in capacity. Please ensure you use unbuffered SODIMMs with a speed of 2133MT/s or 2400MT/s for best compatibility.
Q: Does this board come with a heatsink or fan for the FPGA?
A: The board includes a passive aluminum heatsink pre-installed on the FPGA. For heavy computational loads, we recommend ensuring good case airflow or adding an active cooling solution compatible with the mounting holes.
