Nostalgia and functionality combined
Brings me back to my university days. The STC89C52 is a classic, and this board makes programming it incredibly convenient compared to the old parallel port programmers. Very happy with this purchase.

Great value but manual could be better
The hardware quality is solid for the price. It works flawlessly with Keil uVision. My only complaint is that the included PDF manual is a bit sparse on example code, but there are plenty of resources online.

Excellent for classroom use
I bought ten of these for my embedded systems lab. They are robust enough to handle student mistakes and program reliably every time. The CH340 chip is a huge plus for modern laptops without serial ports.

Solid core board
Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a minimal system, so don't expect onboard sensors or displays, but that keeps the cost down. Perfect base for custom projects.
Q: Does it support 3.3V logic levels?
A: No, this is a 5V system. Applying 3.3V directly to the VCC pin will not power the board correctly, and input pins expect 5V TTL logic levels.
Q: Is the crystal oscillator replaceable?
A: The 11.0592 MHz crystal is soldered onto the board. While it can be desoldered and replaced by an experienced user, we recommend using the default frequency for tutorial compatibility.
Q: Does this board come with a USB cable?
A: Yes, the package includes a standard USB-A to Mini-USB cable for power and data transfer.
Q: Can I use this with macOS or Linux?
A: While primarily designed for Windows, it can work on macOS and Linux if you install the appropriate CH340 drivers manually. However, official support is limited to Windows environments.
Q: What software do I need to write code for this?
