Perfect starter kit for embedded systems
This board is exactly what I needed to refresh my knowledge on microcontrollers. The aluminum case feels premium and protects the board well during transport. All components worked out of the box.

Bought this for my son's robotics club
My son loves this kit. The variety of sensors and the sturdy box make it ideal for school projects. It supports multiple architectures which is a huge plus for learning different coding styles.

Great value but manual could be better
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. I successfully ran experiments with both 51 and AVR chips. The only downside is that the printed manual is a bit sparse, so you'll need to look up some tutorials online.

Good learning curve
As someone new to microcontrollers, this board provided a gentle introduction. The pre-soldered components saved me a lot of time. I wish it came with a few more example code files on the CD.

Excellent for classroom use
I ordered five of these for my introductory electronics lab. They have held up well under student use. The ability to switch between 51 and ARM modes is a fantastic teaching tool.

Robust build quality
I've dropped the aluminum case twice and the board inside is still perfectly fine. The pinouts are clearly labeled, making wiring external circuits very easy. Highly recommended for DIY enthusiasts.
Q: Is the aluminum case included or sold separately?
A: The aluminum enclosure is included in the package. The board comes pre-installed inside the case for immediate protection.
Q: Are replacement components available if I accidentally burn out an LED?
A: Yes, the kit comes with a small surplus of basic components like LEDs and resistors. Additional parts can also be purchased separately from our store.
Q: What voltage does the onboard regulator support if using an external battery?
A: The onboard regulator supports an input voltage range of 6V to 12V via the DC jack, stabilizing it to 5V for the microcontroller and peripherals.
Q: Can I use this board with the Keil uVision IDE?
A: Absolutely. The LY-51S is fully compatible with Keil uVision for 8051 development, as well as other popular IDEs like Arduino IDE for supported cores.
Q: Does this kit come with the necessary USB cable to program the board?
A: Yes, the kit includes a standard USB cable suitable for both power supply and programming via the onboard interface.
