Perfect for classroom coding
We bought a batch of these for our middle school computer science club. The built-in microphone and speaker are huge upgrades from the V1. Students love making simple music projects with Python immediately.

Robust for prototyping
Used this to prototype a wearable sensor project. The BLE connectivity is stable and the battery efficiency is impressive. Highly recommend for any IoT starter project.

Solid board, minor learning curve
Excellent hardware quality. The edge connector is very durable. It took me a little while to figure out the new pinout differences compared to the old version, but the documentation online helped.

Good value kit
The board itself is fantastic. The included cables are a bit short, but that's a minor complaint. The LED matrix is bright and clear even in daylight.

Best way to learn Python
I am an adult learner trying to get into embedded systems. This board is incredibly forgiving and the MakeCode editor makes transitioning to real Python syntax very smooth.

Great upgrade from V1
The USB-C port alone makes this worth the switch. No more fiddling with micro-USB cables that don't fit right. The processor is noticeably faster when running complex block code.

A: Yes, the micro:bit V2 maintains backward compatibility with most V1 accessories and expansion boards via the gold edge connector, though some pin functions have been updated.
Q: Is the microphone sensitive enough for voice commands?
