Good value but needs 3.3V logic
Works great once you remember to use a logic level shifter if your MCU is 5V only. The screen brightness is adjustable which is nice. Would recommend checking the voltage requirements before connecting directly.

Robust industrial control solution
We used several of these for a prototype control panel. The SW32M55D4 chip handles the graphics processing well, offloading the main MCU. Very stable performance over 48 hours of continuous testing.

Ideal for learning embedded systems
Bought this for my university project. It works flawlessly with Arduino and ESP32. The ability to update the display just by sending text strings over TX/RX lines is a game changer for beginners.

Perfect for quick UART projects
This module saved me hours of coding. The UART interface makes it incredibly easy to display data from any microcontroller without dealing with complex SPI or I2C timing issues. Colors are vibrant for such a small screen.

Exceeded expectations
Fast shipping and the module arrived well-packaged. The color reproduction is surprisingly good for a 0.96-inch panel. The UART command set is intuitive and allows for drawing shapes easily.

Great resolution, clear documentation
The 80x160 resolution is sharp enough for displaying sensor readings and simple menus. Documentation was clear on how to send commands via serial. Only minor issue is the pin spacing felt slightly tight for my breadboard setup.
Q: Is the baud rate fixed or can it be changed?
A: The default baud rate is 9600, but it is fully configurable. You can change it to 19200, 38400, 57600, or 115200 by sending a specific configuration command via UART as detailed in the user manual.
Q: Can this display be driven directly by a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, but please note that Raspberry Pi GPIOs operate at 3.3V logic levels. Ensure your power supply matches the module's requirements and connect the TX/RX lines correctly (Pi TX to Module RX, and vice versa).
