Great board, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is excellent and the USB-C port is very convenient. However, some of the specific pinout diagrams for the LuaPICO kit could be clearer for beginners. Overall, highly recommended.

Good for MicroPython users
Flashing MicroPython was easy. The extra memory helps when writing larger scripts. Only giving 4 stars because the included cable was a bit short.

Exceeded expectations
Using this for a home automation hub. The dual-core processor handles multiple Wi-Fi connections and sensor readings without lag. Definitely buying more for future projects.

Perfect for AIoT Projects
The ESP32-S3 is a massive upgrade from the original ESP32. The added PSRAM and AI instructions make running tinyML models incredibly smooth. Setup with Arduino IDE was seamless.

Best value for learning embedded AI
I bought this to learn about edge computing. The performance is outstanding for the price. Bluetooth LE connectivity works flawlessly with my smartphone apps.
Q: Is the Lua firmware pre-installed?
A: The board typically ships with a basic demo firmware. You will need to flash the specific LuaPICO firmware image yourself using the provided tools or instructions in the wiki.
Q: What is the maximum current draw for the GPIO pins?
A: Each GPIO pin can source or sink up to 40mA. However, the total current for all ports combined should not exceed specific limits outlined in the ESP32-S3 datasheet to avoid damage.
Q: Does this come with a case or enclosure?
A: This package includes only the development board and a USB cable. Enclosures are sold separately, but the board follows standard mounting hole spacing for generic cases.
Q: Can I power this board directly with a 3.7V LiPo battery?
A: Yes, there is a dedicated battery connector on the board that accepts single-cell LiPo batteries (3.7V). Please ensure polarity is correct before connecting.
