Great value but needs external programmer
The board works well once you get it running. Just remember it doesn't have a built-in USB-to-UART converter, so you must use the included FTDI adapter for uploading code. Once configured, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are stable.

Great starter board for ESP32
As someone new to microcontrollers, this was a fun challenge. The community support is huge, so finding sample code for video streaming was easy. Deducting one star because the pinout diagram on the back is a bit faint.

Compact and powerful
Impressed by how small this board is while still packing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a camera. I used it to build a time-lapse camera for my garden, and it has been running reliably on battery power for weeks.

Excellent for learning embedded vision
I bought this for a university project on object detection. The processing power of the ESP32 combined with the camera module handles basic TensorFlow Lite models surprisingly well. Documentation online is abundant which helped a lot.

Perfect for IoT Vision Projects
This board is exactly what I needed for my home security camera project. The OV2640 sensor provides decent image quality for the price, and setting up the Wi-Fi stream was straightforward using the Arduino IDE. Highly recommended for hobbyists.

Good hardware, tricky initial setup
The hardware seems solid, but getting the drivers installed for the FTDI programmer took some troubleshooting on Windows 11. After that hurdle, the board performs as expected. Image quality is acceptable for indoor monitoring.
