Solid board, needs external battery management
The board itself is fantastic and very fast. Just remember it doesn't have an onboard LiPo charging circuit, so you need to manage your own power source if going portable. Otherwise, it's a powerhouse in a tiny package.

Best in class for size-to-power ratio
I have tested many ESP32 variants, and these SuperMini versions are now my go-to. The build quality is solid, soldering pads are accessible, and the inclusion of USB-C is a huge plus for modern setups.

Ideal for learning embedded systems
As a student, this board is perfect. It works seamlessly with the Arduino IDE right out of the box. The dual-core processing on the S3 model allows me to run complex tasks while maintaining a responsive web server interface.

Perfect compact board for IoT projects
The SuperMini form factor is incredible. I used the ESP32-S3 version for a wearable project, and it fits perfectly where larger boards wouldn't. Wi-Fi connection is stable, and the USB-C port makes programming very convenient.

Great value, minor pin labeling issue
Performance is excellent for the price. The RISC-V architecture handles my sensor data logging without lag. Only giving 4 stars because the silk screen pin labels are a bit small to read without a magnifier, but the documentation online is clear.

Reliable Bluetooth LE performance
I bought the C3 version specifically for Bluetooth Low Energy beacons. The range is surprisingly good for such a small antenna, and power consumption is low. Highly recommended for home automation sensors.
Q: Is the ESP32-H2 suitable for Zigbee projects?
A: Yes, the ESP32-H2 supports IEEE 802.15.4 protocols, which includes Zigbee and Thread. It is designed specifically for low-power mesh networking applications, unlike the Wi-Fi focused C3 or S3.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython out of the box?
A: Yes, all models (C3, S3, C6, H2) are fully compatible with MicroPython. You will need to flash the appropriate firmware image first, which can be easily done using tools like esptool.py or the Web Installer.
Q: What is the difference between the C3 and S3 models?
A: The ESP32-S3 features a dual-core processor and additional AI vector instructions, making it better for audio or image processing. The ESP32-C3 is a single-core RISC-V chip that is more cost-effective and sufficient for standard IoT connectivity tasks.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 5V USB charger?
A: Absolutely. The board includes a USB-C port that accepts 5V input and regulates it down to 3.3V for the chip. You can also power it via the 5V and GND pins if not using USB.
Q: Are there any drivers needed for Windows 10/11?
