Great alternative to expensive boards
As a student, the cost of major brand FPGAs is prohibitive. This Gowin board provides excellent performance for the price. I successfully implemented a soft CPU core on it without any issues.

Reliable for small batch production
We used these modules for a small run of industrial sensors. The consistency between the five boards we ordered was impressive. The UVLQ144 version fits our compact enclosure requirements perfectly.

Good value, minor soldering needed
The core board works well for industrial control prototypes. Note that you will need to design or buy a carrier board as this is just the core module. The LQ144 package offers plenty of IO for my motor control project.

Good hardware, steep learning curve
The board itself seems fine, but the software toolchain took me a while to set up on my Linux machine. Once running, the hardware performed as expected. Just be prepared to spend time on the software side if you are new to Gowin.

Solid build quality
The PCB layout looks professional with good grounding. The onboard oscillator is stable. My only wish is that it came with a USB Blaster compatible programmer included, but buying one separately was easy enough.

Perfect for learning Gowin tools
This board is exactly what I needed to get started with domestic FPGA development. The pinout is clearly labeled, and the documentation provided by the seller was helpful. Compilation times are fast, and the board boots up reliably every time.
