Works but shaft length varies
Functionality is great, but check your guitar body thickness. The 10mm shaft was a bit short for my thick Les Paul copy without an extender.

Smooth operation
No scratchy sounds when turning the knob. The 500k value is ideal for humbuckers. Highly recommended.

Excellent for DIY repairs
Easy to solder and install. The audio taper feels very natural for volume control. Will buy again.

Good quality, fast shipping
Great potentiometer. The only reason for 4 stars is that the nut was slightly tight, but otherwise works flawlessly.

Genuine Bourns part
Verified authentic. The build quality is superior to generic brands. My guitar volume swells are much cleaner now.

Perfect replacement for my Strat
The copper shaft fits perfectly and the taper is smooth. Exactly what I needed for my vintage reissue project.
Q: What is the tolerance rating on these pots?
A: Bourns 10A series pots typically have a resistance tolerance of +/- 20%.
Q: Does this come with a knob included?
A: No, this listing is for the potentiometer only. Knobs are sold separately.
Q: Is the shaft solid or split?
A: This specific model features a solid round copper shaft, designed for press-fit knobs or set-screw knobs.
Q: Is this pot suitable for single-coil pickups?
A: While 500k is typically used for humbuckers, you can use it for single-coils if you prefer a brighter tone. However, 250k is generally recommended for single-coils to reduce high-end harshness.
Q: Can I use this for a tone control instead of volume?
A: Yes, technically you can, but for tone controls, a linear taper (B-taper) is often preferred over the audio taper (A-taper) found in this model for more consistent frequency cutting.
