The hardware is fine, but the documentation could be more detailed regarding wiring diagrams for beginners. Had to ask support for clarification.

Perfect for Senior Design Project

Exactly what the contest rules required for the power measurement section. No issues with noise during the competition phase.
Q: Is this module compatible with Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, it is compatible. Please ensure you use the 5V pin for power and an analog input pin for the signal. Note that the output is 0-3.3V which is safe for Arduino analog inputs.
Q: What happens if the current exceeds 5A?
A: The module may saturate and readings will become inaccurate. For safety, do not exceed the rated 5A AC range to prevent potential damage to the module.
Q: What is the phase shift error on this transformer?
A: The phase shift is minimal, typically less than 1 degree at 50Hz, which is suitable for most power factor calculation tasks in student competitions.
Q: Can I use this to measure DC current?
A: No, this is a Current Transformer (CT) module designed specifically for AC current measurement only. It will not measure DC current.
