Reliable detection
We used several of these for a school project. They consistently detected water droplets without false positives.

Works well for rain alerts
Integrated this into my smart garden system. It triggers the alert when it starts raining. Would prefer a longer cable but otherwise solid.

Good value sensor
Does what it says. The board quality is decent for the price. Just make sure to waterproof your connections if using outdoors.
Q: Is the sensor plate durable for outdoor use?
A: The plate is coated but prolonged exposure to harsh elements may cause corrosion over time. We recommend protective housing for long-term outdoor installation.
Q: Can this work with 3.3V logic systems?
A: The module operates at 5V, but the digital output is generally compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers. However, we recommend using a 5V supply for stable operation.
Q: Does it come with connecting wires?
A: Yes, the package includes a set of Dupont wires for easy connection to your microcontroller.
Q: Can it detect humidity or only water droplets?
A: This module is designed for direct water contact detection. For humidity sensing, we recommend our dedicated DHT11 or DHT22 sensor modules.
Q: What is the current consumption?
A: The module typically consumes around 20mA when active. Please check the datasheet for specific power management details.
