Good sensitivity
Detects alcohol vapor well. Calibration took some time but once set, it is consistent. Not for legal use though.

Build quality is decent. The pins are standard 0.1 inch spacing. Recommend using a separate 5V supply for stability.

Great for Arduino projects
Works perfectly with my Uno. Sensitivity is adjustable via the potentiometer. Just remember it needs warm-up time.

Easy to use
Plug and play with basic code. The LED indicator is helpful to see when detection triggers.
Q: How long does it need to warm up?
A: We recommend allowing the sensor to warm up for at least 24-48 hours for initial stabilization, then 5-10 minutes before each use.
Q: Can I use this for a legal breathalyzer?
A: No, this is a hobbyist sensor module and is not calibrated for legal or medical accuracy.
Q: Does this work with 3.3V logic?
A: The module operates at 5V, but the output can usually interface with 3.3V microcontrollers. Check your specific board specs.
Q: What gases does this detect besides alcohol?
A: While optimized for alcohol, it may also react to benzene, hexane, LPG, and methane.
Q: How do I adjust sensitivity?
A: There is a blue potentiometer on the board. Turn it to adjust the threshold for the digital output pin.
