Good value but probes corrode
Does the job well for monitoring soil. Just note that the probes may corrode after long-term exposure to wet soil.

Reliable detection
Integrated this with my ESP8266. No issues with reading the digital output.
Q: How deep should I insert the probe?
A: For best results, insert the probe about 2 to 3 inches into the soil near the plant roots.
Q: Is calibration required out of the box?
A: Minor calibration using the onboard potentiometer is recommended for specific soil types.
Q: Does it come with code examples?
A: We provide a link to a GitHub repository with Arduino and Python examples in the package.
Q: Are the probes waterproof?
A: The probes are water-resistant for soil insertion, but the circuit board should be kept dry.
Q: Can this run on 3.3V logic?
A: Yes, the module supports 5V and 12V input, and the output is compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers.
