Perfect for industrial automation
Integrated this load cell into our packaging line. The RS-485 interface makes it very easy to connect to our PLC without needing an external amplifier. Readings are stable and consistent.

Robust construction
We are using this in a somewhat dusty environment. The IP65 rating holds up well, and the nickel plating prevents corrosion. Highly recommend for harsh conditions.

Good value but setup takes time
The sensor itself is high quality and accurate. However, configuring the Modbus address took some trial and error with the provided manual. Once set up, it works flawlessly.

Documentation could be clearer
The hardware works as expected, but the wiring diagram was a bit small to read. Would be nice to have a downloadable PDF with larger text for the pinout.

Excellent communication stability
Long cable runs were a concern, but the digital RS-485 output maintains signal integrity over distance much better than analog load cells we used previously.
Q: Can the cable be extended beyond 3 meters?
A: Yes, you can extend the cable up to 10 meters total length using shielded twisted pair cable to maintain signal integrity.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor weighing applications?
A: Yes, the IP65 protection rating makes it suitable for outdoor use, protecting against dust and low-pressure water jets.
Q: What is the default baud rate for communication?
A: The default baud rate is set to 9600bps, but it is configurable up to 115200bps via the command interface.
Q: Is a calibration certificate included with the unit?
A: Yes, every S-Type Load Cell ships with a factory calibration report detailing the specific error margins for that unit.
Q: Does this support Modbus TCP or only RTU?
A: This model supports Modbus RTU over the RS-485 interface. It does not natively support Modbus TCP without a gateway converter.
