Good sensitivity
Detects gas leaks quickly. The potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment is very useful for tuning.

Easy to integrate
Plug and play with Arduino. Documentation could be better but standard MQ library works fine.
Q: Can this detect carbon monoxide?
A: No, this MQ-5 model is specific to LPG and natural gas. Please see our MQ-7 for CO.
Q: Does it come with headers?
A: Yes, the module comes with pre-soldered pin headers ready for breadboard use.
Q: How long does calibration take?
A: We recommend allowing the sensor to preheat for 24-48 hours for optimal accuracy.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic?
A: The module operates at 5V. For 3.3V microcontrollers, a logic level converter is recommended.
Q: What is the detection range?
A: Effective detection concentration is typically 200 to 10000 ppm.
