Solid detection module
Detects motion through thin wood panels which was useful for my hidden install. Just ensure you provide stable 5V power.
Q: Can this sensor detect motion through walls?
A: It can detect motion through thin non-metallic materials like drywall or wood, but not through concrete or metal structures.
Q: What is the power consumption in standby?
A: The module consumes less than 40mA continuously while powered on. It does not have a sleep mode.
Q: Can I adjust the sensitivity range?
A: The sensitivity is fixed by the internal circuit design. However, detection range varies based on target size and mounting height.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic systems?
A: The module operates at 5V. For 3.3V systems, we recommend using a logic level converter for the output signal.
Q: Is this module waterproof for outdoor use?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. It must be housed in a weatherproof enclosure if used outdoors.
