Perfect for my Arduino Robot
Works exactly as described. Easy to calibrate the sensitivity using the potentiometer. Used it for a line-following project and it responded quickly.

Good value but sensitive to light
The sensor works well indoors. However, direct sunlight interferes with the detection range. Great for the price though.

Range varies per unit
One of the three modules I bought had a shorter range than the others. Still usable but required more tweaking of the potentiometer.

Great for learning electronics
Clear documentation helped me understand how IR pairs work. The LEDs indicate power and detection status clearly.

Reliable obstacle avoidance
Bought five of these for a robot car kit. All of them worked out of the box. The output is clean digital signal which makes coding easy.
Q: How do I adjust the detection distance?
A: Use the blue potentiometer on the board. Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity and range.
Q: Can I use this outdoors?
A: It is not recommended for direct sunlight as ambient IR light may interfere with the sensor accuracy.
Q: What is the pinout configuration?
A: Typically VCC, GND, and OUT. Please check the silkscreen on the PCB for specific arrangement.
Q: Does it provide analog output?
A: No, this module provides a digital TTL output. The comparator converts the analog signal to digital.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it works with any microcontroller that supports digital input, including Raspberry Pi GPIO.
