The gold standard for laptop cooling
If you own a hot-running gaming laptop, this is the solution. It performs almost as well as liquid metal but without the electrical conductivity risk. Installation on the Legion series was perfect with the pre-cut size.

Fans run quieter now
Not only are my temperatures lower, but my laptop fans don't ramp up as aggressively anymore. The efficient heat transfer means the system doesn't feel the need to spin at max RPM constantly. Very happy with this purchase.

Solid upgrade, careful handling needed
The pad is a bit sticky to handle before installation, so use the included tools. Once installed and heated up, it works flawlessly. My GPU delta temperature improved significantly compared to the factory application. Would recommend watching a tutorial first.

Massive temperature drop on my Legion 5 Pro
I replaced the stock thermal paste on my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with this PTM7950 pad, and the results are incredible. GPU temperatures dropped by about 12°C under full load. The application was straightforward, and it hasn't pumped out after three months of heavy gaming.

Great performance, requires heat to activate
Performance is excellent once it gets going. Just remember that it needs to reach 45°C to fully liquefy and fill the microscopic gaps. Initial boot temps might look high, but they settle down quickly after a gaming session. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Better than traditional paste for laptops
Traditional paste tends to pump out quickly in laptops due to thermal cycling. This phase change material stays put. My CPU temps are much more stable now, and I no longer see sudden thermal throttling spikes during rendering tasks.
Q: How long does it take for the phase change to occur?
A: The material begins to change phase at approximately 45°C. Typically, within 5 to 10 minutes of moderate to heavy usage, the pad will fully liquefy and optimize contact.
Q: Do I need to apply thermal paste on top of this pad?
A: No, you should not apply any additional thermal paste. The PTM7950 acts as both the interface and the thermal conductor. Applying extra paste may hinder performance.
Q: Will this fit a Lenovo Legion 7i specifically?
A: Yes, this product is designed to be compatible with the Lenovo Legion series, including the 5, 5 Pro, 7, and 7i models. It covers both CPU and GPU dies effectively.
