Good sound, heavy case not included
The guitar itself is fantastic with great projection. Just be aware it doesn't come with a hard case, only a gig bag is usually included depending on the seller. I bought a hard case separately to protect it.

Beautiful craftsmanship
The finish on this guitar is stunning. It looks much more expensive than it is. I've been playing for three months now, and the sound continues to open up nicely. Highly recommended for adult beginners too.

Great value for students
As a guitar teacher, I recommend the Martinez MC-58 often. It holds its tune well and has a warm tone. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bridge needed a slight sanding to lower the action further, but that's a minor tweak.

Perfect first guitar for my daughter
I bought this for my 10-year-old who is starting lessons. The solid spruce top gives it a surprisingly rich sound for the price point. The action was set up well out of the box, making it easy for small hands to press the strings.

I compared this against several other brands in the same price category, and the Martinez won hands down. The solid top makes a huge difference in resonance compared to all-laminate guitars.
