Great tone, minor setup needed

Exceptional value for all-solid wood
Finding an all-solid classical guitar at this price point is rare. The craftsmanship on the Martinez 128 is stunning, with flawless fretwork and a very comfortable neck profile. It rivals instruments costing twice as much.

Beautiful aesthetics and sound
The grain on the cedar top is gorgeous. Beyond looks, the sustain is incredible. I use it for both practice and small venue performances, and the built-in pickup saves me from needing external microphones.

Solid choice for serious students
Very happy with this purchase for my daughter's music degree program. It meets all the strict requirements for her graded exams. The only reason for 4 stars is that the case sold separately would have been nice to include.

Perfect for my Grade 8 Exam
I bought the Model 58c specifically for my conservatory grading exam. The cedar top provides a warm, mature sound right out of the box, and the projection is excellent in large halls. The built-in pickup worked flawlessly during the amplified portion of the recital.
Q: What is the difference between models 58c and 128?
A: Both models feature solid cedar tops and mahogany back and sides. The primary differences lie in the cosmetic rosette designs, binding details, and slight variations in body depth which can affect bass response. Both are fully approved for grading exams.
Q: Does this guitar come with a hard case included?
A: No, the Martinez All-Solid Wood Classical Guitar is sold as the instrument only. We recommend purchasing a compatible hard case separately to ensure proper protection during transport to exams.
Q: Can I change the strings to high tension without damaging the guitar?
A: Yes, the Martinez all-solid construction is robust enough to handle high-tension strings. However, we recommend having a professional luthier adjust the truss rod and saddle height after changing string tension to maintain optimal playability.
