Rock solid for my studio monitors
I needed something sturdy to hang my heavy PA speakers in my home studio. This bracket is incredibly well-built. The extension feature allows me to position them perfectly without hitting the wall. Installation took about 20 minutes.

Sturdy but heavy
This thing is built like a tank, which is good for safety, but it made ceiling installation a two-person job. Make sure you have help holding it while you drill. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Great quality, instructions could be clearer
The metal quality is top-notch and feels very safe. My only complaint is that the instruction manual was a bit vague regarding stud spacing. Once I figured it out, though, it works flawlessly.

Q: What is the minimum distance from the ceiling when fully retracted?
A: When fully retracted, the bottom of the speaker plate sits approximately 12 inches from the mounting surface, depending on the thickness of your speaker's base.
Q: Can this mount support oval-shaped speakers?
A: Yes, as long as the speaker has standard M8 or M10 threaded inserts on the bottom, the universal plate will accommodate oval shapes provided the weight is within the 110 lbs limit.
Q: Can I install this on a drywall ceiling without hitting studs?
A: No, for safety reasons, this heavy-duty mount must be anchored directly into ceiling joists, concrete, or solid wood beams. Drywall anchors alone are not sufficient for the rated load.
