Great for students
I use these for my calligraphy class. The size is perfect for standard exercises. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wish the pack came in a sturdier box to prevent corner bending during shipping.

Excellent ink control
The balance between absorption and resistance is spot on. My characters look crisp, and the wax resist helps maintain the shape of the strokes. Will definitely purchase again.

Beautiful ancient style design
I bought these specifically for writing letters to friends. The micro-spray wax gives the paper a unique texture, and the floral notes look very elegant when the ink dries. Highly recommended!

Perfect for daily Kaishu practice
The wax-resist treatment on this paper is excellent. It prevents the ink from bleeding too much while still allowing for natural brush variation. The flower pattern adds a nice touch without being distracting.

Authentic Jingxian feel
You can tell this is genuine Anhui paper. The fiber quality is strong, and it doesn't tear easily even when the brush is loaded with water. Great value for the price.

Good quality, fast shipping
As someone who practices calligraphy every morning, I go through a lot of paper. This Xuanpin paper holds up well to repeated strokes. The semi-sized nature makes it forgiving for beginners like me.
Q: How should I store these papers to maintain their quality?
A: We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keeping them flat in their original packaging or a portfolio case will prevent curling and moisture damage.
Q: Does the flower pattern appear on both sides of the paper?
A: The floral note pattern is primarily visible on the front writing surface. The reverse side is generally plain to prevent distraction when mounting or framing.
Q: Can I use liquid ink sticks with this paper, or only bottled ink?
A: You can use both! This paper works wonderfully with freshly ground ink from sticks as well as high-quality bottled sumi ink. Just ensure the consistency is right for your style.
Q: What is the exact gram weight of the paper?
A: The paper typically ranges between 25gsm to 30gsm, which is standard for daily practice Xuan paper, offering a good balance of thinness and durability.
Q: Is this paper suitable for running script (Xingshu) or just regular script?
