Solved my clogging issues
I was experiencing frequent clogs with my old brass throat. Switching to this stainless steel version with the integrated PTFE liner has completely solved the problem. Highly recommended for PLA printing.

Great upgrade component
Easy to install if you have the right tools. The surface finish is smooth which helps prevent filament snagging. I deducted one star only because shipping took longer than expected.

Works well but instructions lacking
The part itself works as expected and seems robust. However, the package came with no installation guide, which might be tricky for beginners unfamiliar with hotend assembly.

Excellent value for money
For the price, you really cannot beat this accessory. It performs just as well as the branded OEM parts but at a fraction of the cost. My dual-color transitions are much cleaner now.

Good quality but tight tolerance
The build quality is excellent. However, the tolerance is quite tight, so I had to use a little force to get the PTFE tube seated properly. Once installed, extrusion is consistent.

Perfect fit for my dual-color setup
This throat fits perfectly into my E3D clone hotend. The stainless steel construction feels very durable, and the PTFE tube slides in smoothly without any gaps. Great for experimenting with dual-color prints.
Q: How do I clean the throat if filament gets stuck?
A: If filament gets stuck, heat the hotend to the printing temperature of the stuck material and gently push it through. For cold pulls, heat slightly above the glass transition temperature and pull quickly once cooled slightly.
Q: What is the length of the PTFE tube included?
A: The package includes a pre-cut PTFE tube sized specifically to fit the throat channel perfectly, typically around 30mm in effective length once installed.
Q: Does this support flexible filaments like TPU?
A: Yes, the smooth interior of the PTFE liner makes it suitable for flexible filaments like TPU, provided your extruder gear can handle the flexibility.
Q: Can I use this with ABS filament?
A: While the stainless steel can handle high temperatures, the included PTFE tube is rated up to 260°C. We recommend using this primarily for PLA, PETG, or other low-temperature filaments to avoid degrading the PTFE.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard E3D V6 hotend?
A: Yes, this throat is designed to be fully compatible with standard E3D V6 hotends and most common clones.
