Perfect starter instrument for my daughter
We bought this for our 12-year-old who just started viola lessons. The tiger-stripe finish is absolutely gorgeous in person. It came well-packaged and the setup was decent right out of the box. Great value for the price.

Good sound, needs minor adjustment
The tone is warm and resonant for a beginner model. I did have to take it to a luthier to adjust the bridge and soundpost slightly, but that is common with instruments in this price range. Very happy with the purchase overall.

Beautiful craftsmanship
I am an adult learner returning to music after 20 years. This viola exceeded my expectations. The flamed maple back is stunning, and it projects sound very well in our community orchestra practice.

Excellent value package
Having everything included (bow, rosin, case) made this such an easy buy. The bow hair is decent quality, and the shoulder rest fits comfortably. My son loves the look of the tiger stripes.

Solid performance viola
Used this for a semester of college music theory. It holds its tune well and has a rich lower register. Not a professional concert instrument, but definitely a solid choice for serious students.

Decent but heavy
The sound is fine for a student instrument, but the body feels a bit heavier than my previous rental. It might take some getting used to for younger players. The case included is sturdy though.
