Gorgeous Visuals and Sound
The natural tiger striping is even more striking in person. It responds quickly to bow changes and handles complex passages with ease. Highly recommended for serious players.

Great projection and comfort
As someone with longer arms, the 16-inch size is comfortable. The sound carries well in large halls. The only reason for 4 stars is the shoulder rest could be slightly more padded, but that's a personal preference.

Excellent Value for a Handmade Instrument

Perfect upgrade from my student viola
This 16-inch model has a deep, warm alto voice that my old instrument lacked. The ebony fittings are well-fitted, and the case provides great protection for travel.

Beautiful instrument, minor setup tweak needed
The wood quality is exceptional and the finish is smooth. I had to adjust the bridge slightly to my preference, but once done, it plays like a dream. Very happy with this purchase.

Stunning Tone and Craftsmanship
The tiger stripe pattern on the back is absolutely gorgeous. More importantly, the sound is rich and projects beautifully in our chamber group. The single-piece back really seems to add resonance.
Q: Is the top wood also tiger striped or just the back?
A: The natural tiger striping is primarily featured on the flamed maple back and sides. The top is made of solid spruce with a fine grain structure optimized for acoustic performance.
Q: Can I exchange the pre-installed strings for a different brand?
A: While the included premium strings are high-quality, you are welcome to change them to your preferred brand. Just ensure you use strings suitable for a 16-inch viola scale length.
Q: Does this viola come fully set up and ready to play?
A: Yes, every instrument is inspected and set up by our luthiers before shipping. The bridge, soundpost, and strings are adjusted so you can start playing immediately upon arrival.
