Smooth fingerboard
The ebony fingerboard is very smooth and well-finished. Intonation is accurate up the neck. Only giving 4 stars because the case latches were a bit stiff initially.

Exceptional tone for the price

Beautiful flamed maple
The visual appeal of this viola is stunning. The flamed maple on the back catches the light perfectly. More importantly, the projection is excellent for a 16-inch model.

Great project instrument
Solid wood and good varnish. It needed a slight bridge adjustment upon arrival, but once set up by my luthier, it plays beautifully. Very happy with this purchase.
