Great durability, slightly tricky install
The build quality is excellent and handles high temps well. Took me a bit longer than expected to align everything during installation, but once running, it's solid.

Solid performance
Works exactly as described. The detachable design makes swapping nozzles much easier than older models. Only wish it came with a spare silicone sock.

Essential for engineering materials
If you plan on printing anything with glass or carbon fiber, this is mandatory. The standard brass nozzles wear out too fast. This 3.0 version heats up quickly and maintains temp perfectly.

Upgraded my P1P successfully
Was nervous about upgrading myself, but the online guides made it easy. Now I can print all the fancy composite filaments I wanted to try. Very happy with the purchase.

Zero clogs so far
I've printed over 2kg of abrasive PLA since installing this. Not a single clog or sign of wear on the nozzle. Highly recommended for heavy users.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel hotend is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C, making it suitable for high-temperature engineering filaments like Polycarbonate and Nylon.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the printer after installation?
A: Yes, after installing the new hotend assembly, it is highly recommended to run the full calibration sequence including flow dynamics calibration and vibration compensation to ensure optimal print quality.
Q: Can I use this with 0.2mm nozzles?
A: The assembly comes standard with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. You can swap it for a 0.2mm hardened steel nozzle separately, but please ensure you adjust your flow rate and pressure advance settings accordingly.
Q: Does this kit include the heatbreak and heater cartridge?
A: Yes, this is a complete detachable assembly which includes the hardened steel nozzle, heatbreak, heater cartridge, thermistor, and the heatsink fan shroud pre-assembled.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1?
A: This upgrade is specifically designed for the X1C, P1P, and P1S models. While it may physically fit the original X1, firmware and calibration differences might exist, so we recommend checking the latest compatibility chart on our support page.
