Excellent value
Much cheaper than local hardware stores but the quality is just as good. The spiral design is classic and functional.

Great for container lashing
We bought a bulk order for securing cargo containers. They hold tension well. One unit had a slightly rough thread, but overall very satisfied.

Sturdy construction
Needed these for a heavy-duty fence gate. The open design makes it easy to check the threads for wear. Very happy with the purchase.

Solid hardware
Good weight to them, not flimsy at all. Took off one star because shipping took a bit longer than expected, but the product itself is great.

Perfect for marine use
Used these for rigging on my sailboat. The galvanization looks thick and high quality. They tightened up nicely without slipping.

Does exactly what it should
Easy to install and adjust. The galvanized coating seems durable against the elements. Will buy again for future projects.
Q: How do I prevent the turnbuckle from loosening due to vibration?
A: It is recommended to secure the nuts with locking wire or apply a thread-locking compound after achieving the desired tension to prevent loosening from vibration.
Q: Can I use this for lifting heavy loads overhead?
A: These are designed for tensioning and lashing applications like fencing or cargo securing. For overhead lifting, please consult a structural engineer and use equipment rated specifically for lifting.
Q: Do both ends have jaws or is one eye and one jaw?
A: This specific model is a Jaw and Jaw configuration, meaning both ends have open hooks for easy attachment to shackles or links.
Q: What is the difference between open and closed body types?
A: The open-body design allows for visual inspection of the threads and easier lubrication, while closed bodies offer slightly more protection from debris.
Q: Are these suitable for saltwater environments?
A: Yes, these turnbuckles are hot-dip galvanized specifically to resist corrosion in marine and saltwater conditions.
