Great variety of sizes
I love having all these different tip sizes in one pack. The 0.05mm is incredibly fine for details. Only giving 4 stars because the cap on the 0.8mm pen felt slightly loose upon arrival, but it hasn't dried out yet.

Good but caps can be tricky
The pens themselves write beautifully, but I sometimes struggle to get the caps back on tightly enough. I worry about them drying out if I don't hear a solid click every time.

Consistent ink flow
I've tried many brands, but Sakura remains the most consistent. No skipping, no blobbing. The black is deep and rich, perfect for high-contrast comics.

Excellent value set
This set covers almost every line weight I need for journaling and doodling. The build quality feels premium, and the clips are sturdy enough to keep them in my pocket.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on photo paper?
A: Yes, these fineliners work well on photo paper. However, we recommend testing a small area first as drying times may vary slightly depending on the specific coating of the paper.
Q: What is the difference between this set and the Pigma Micron set?
A: Both are excellent quality technical pens from Sakura. The Fineliner series often features a slightly more flexible tip suited for varying pressure, while Microns are known for extreme rigidity. Both use archival pigment ink.
Q: Can I refill these pens once the ink runs out?
A: No, the Sakura Fineliner series is designed as a disposable system. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations.
Q: Is the ink truly waterproof for marker blending?
A: Yes, the pigment ink is fully waterproof once dry. You can safely layer alcohol markers or watercolors over your lines without smudging or bleeding.
Q: Do the 0.05mm tips break easily?
A: The tips are durable but delicate due to their fine nature. To prevent damage, avoid pressing too hard or dropping the pen tip-first. With normal use, they last a long time.
