Best investment for sketching
I bought the full set of sizes and use them daily for journaling and technical sketches. The variety of line weights allows for amazing depth in drawings without needing to change pressure.

Archival Quality Ink
As an architect, I need lines that won't fade or smear. These pens deliver crisp, dark lines every time. The hexagonal barrel also prevents them from rolling off my drafting table.

Smooth and Reliable
I have used many fineliners over the years, but Sakura remains my favorite. The flow is smooth, never scratchy, and the cap seal keeps them from drying out even if left uncapped for a minute.

Great quality, wish tips were more durable
The ink quality is top-notch and truly waterproof. However, if you press too hard on rough paper, the fine tips can bend slightly. Treat them gently, and they will last a long time.

Perfect for Manga Inking

Excellent but pricey
You definitely pay a premium for Japanese quality, but the performance justifies the cost. They glide effortlessly on Bristol board and marker paper. Highly recommended for serious artists.

A: Both are high-quality Sakura products. The Pigma Micron is often marketed specifically for archival art with a slightly different barrel design, while the Fineliner series focuses heavily on technical drawing and manga with a robust stainless steel tip structure.
Q: Can I refill these pens once the ink runs out?
A: No, these fineliners are disposable and not designed to be refilled. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on fabric?
A: While the ink is permanent and waterproof, these pens are primarily designed for paper. Using them on fabric may result in stiff lines and the ink might not bond well with fibers compared to specialized fabric markers.
Q: Is the ink toxic if accidentally ingested?
