Great pens, caps can be tight
The writing experience is smooth and the black is very deep. My only minor complaint is that the caps can be a bit difficult to remove sometimes, but I suppose that ensures they don't dry out.

Worth every penny
Initially thought they were pricey compared to generic brands, but the longevity and consistent flow make them much more cost-effective in the long run. No more skipping lines!
Q: How should I store these pens to prevent them from drying out?
A: Always ensure the cap is clicked or pushed on firmly until you hear a click or feel it seat completely. Store the pens horizontally or with the tip facing down to keep the ink flowing toward the point.
Q: Do these pens contain acid that could damage old photos in scrapbooks?
A: No, Sakura Pigma Micron ink is acid-free, archival quality, and chemically stable. It is specifically designed to be safe for use in scrapbooking and photo albums without causing yellowing or degradation over time.
Q: Can I use alcohol markers over the ink without smudging?
A: Generally, yes. Since the Pigma ink is waterproof and quick-drying, it usually resists alcohol-based markers. However, we always recommend testing on a scrap piece of paper first, as heavy saturation or rubbing can occasionally affect the line.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on fabric for textile design?
A: Yes, the Pigma Micron ink is permanent on many surfaces including fabric. However, we recommend heat-setting the design with an iron (no steam) after it has fully dried to ensure maximum washability.
Q: What is the difference between the 01 and 02 tip sizes?
A: The 01 tip produces a line width of approximately 0.25mm, while the 02 tip produces a line width of approximately 0.30mm. The 01 is better for extremely fine hatching, while 02 offers slightly more visibility for general outlining.
