Beautiful craftsmanship
I bought this for a meditation studio. The unfinished wood allows us to customize the stain later, but even in its natural state, the grain is gorgeous. The sound is powerful yet controlled.

Solid traditional instrument
Good value for a hand-made instrument. The finish is rough as described (unfinished), which is great for purists. It took a day to acclimate to the humidity here before the tone settled perfectly.

Perfect for our temple ceremonies
The resonance of this drum is exactly what we needed for our weekly rituals. The cowhide is thick and the toon wood body produces a very warm, deep tone that fills the hall without being harsh.

Authentic and powerful
We use this in our cultural performance group. The projection is incredible, and the yellow cowhide gives it a distinct timbre compared to synthetic heads. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great sound, heavy weight
The acoustic quality is superb and authentic. Just be aware that because it is solid toon wood and real hide, it is quite heavy. Make sure you have a sturdy stand for it.
