Works but gets warm
The driver functions as expected, but it does get quite warm when pushing 3.5A continuously. I had to add a small fan for cooling. Make sure you have adequate ventilation.

Perfect for my CNC upgrade

Good value, easy to set up
Works great with my NEMA 23 motors. The dip switches are clearly labeled for microstepping. Only giving 4 stars because the terminal screws were a bit tight, but otherwise excellent.

Silent and powerful
I was surprised by how quiet this driver is compared to my previous one. It handles the 4A current without breaking a sweat even during long print jobs.
Q: What is the maximum voltage I can supply without damaging the board?
A: The maximum recommended input voltage is 42V DC. Exceeding this limit may damage the internal components and void the warranty.
Q: Is this driver compatible with 3.3V logic signals from a Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, the TB6600 input is 5V TTL compatible, but it generally works fine with 3.3V logic levels directly. However, for maximum reliability, using a level shifter is recommended.
Q: How do I set the current limit to 2.5A?
A: Please refer to the dip switch chart included in the product manual. Typically, specific combinations of switches S1 through S6 control the current output. For 2.5A, ensure the motor is disconnected while adjusting switches.
Q: Can I daisy chain multiple drivers for synchronized movement?
A: You can connect the PUL, DIR, and EN signals from one controller to multiple drivers in parallel to synchronize them, but each driver requires its own separate power supply connection.
Q: Does this come with a heatsink or fan?
A: The module comes with an integrated aluminum heatsink. It does not include an active cooling fan, but one can be easily added if your application requires high current for extended periods.
