Good mat, slight odor initially
The felt quality is excellent and non-pilling as described. There was a faint smell when I first unrolled it, but it disappeared after a day of airing out.

Solid choice for beginners and pros
Very smooth surface that doesn't catch the brush hairs. It rolls up easily for storage. I wish it came in a slightly larger size option, but this works well.
