Exceptional depth and flow
This oil soot ink produces a incredibly rich black line with subtle blue reflections under light. The flow is consistent, making it perfect for both regular script and cursive styles. The gold bottle is also a beautiful addition to my desk.

Solid choice for daily practice
Very reliable ink for daily practice sessions. It maintains its consistency well even after being opened for a month. Only wish the small size came with a tighter dropper cap.

Perfect for classroom demonstrations

Great value for professionals
I switched from grinding my own ink sticks to this liquid version to save time, and the quality is surprisingly comparable. It doesn't feather on Xuan paper and dries quickly without smudging.

Beautiful tone, slightly runny
The color tone is authentic and traditional. However, I found it slightly more fluid than expected for heavy wash techniques, so I let it sit open for a few minutes to thicken slightly before use.

A: The only difference is the volume. The large bottle contains 250ml, ideal for studios or frequent users, while the small bottle contains 60ml, perfect for travel or beginners.
Q: How should I store the ink to prevent it from drying out?
A: Please ensure the cap is tightly sealed after every use and store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its viscosity and quality.
Q: Is this ink suitable for use on rice paper (Xuan paper)?
A: Yes, this oil soot ink is specifically formulated for Xuan paper and other absorbent papers used in traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting.
