Great for fusion projects
I bought the 17cm pair for a world music fusion band. They cut through the mix beautifully. The only reason for 4 stars is the finish varies slightly between pairs.

Authentic Beijing Sound
These cymbals have that distinct bright and piercing sound characteristic of traditional Beijing opera percussion. The build quality is solid for the price point.

Perfect replacement set
Needed replacements for my waist drum ensemble. These Seagull cymbals match the tone of our older sets perfectly. Fast shipping and well packaged.

Good but loud
The sound is very authentic, which means they are extremely loud. Great for stage performance, but maybe too intense for small studio recording without heavy damping.

Nice addition to my kit
I use these as effect cymbals in my jazz setup. They add a unique texture that standard splash cymbals don't have. Very happy with the purchase.

Excellent value
You cannot beat this price for genuine copper alloy cymbals of this style. The resonance lasts a good amount of time, and the hammering marks look professional.
Q: Are these suitable for outdoor performances?
A: Yes, the resonant copper material is durable and projects well in outdoor environments, making them excellent for parade bands and outdoor festivals.
Q: Do these cymbals come with mounting felts or clips?
A: No, these cymbals are sold individually or in pairs without mounting hardware. Standard felt washers and wing nuts can be purchased separately.
Q: Can I return them if the pitch isn't what I expected?
A: Yes, we accept returns within 30 days provided the cymbals are in original condition with no stick marks or damage. Please contact customer service to initiate a return.
Q: Is the 'Bo Ha Zi' style different from the 'Chai Water' style?
A: Both terms refer to traditional Beijing cymbal styles used in different regional operatic contexts. While subtle tonal variations exist due to hand-hammering, they are generally interchangeable for most modern applications.
Q: What is the difference between the 15cm and 19cm sizes?
A: The 15cm size offers a higher pitch and faster decay, ideal for quick accents. The 19cm size provides a lower pitch with longer sustain and a fuller body.
