Great tone, minor hardware tweak needed

The sound quality is exceptional for the price point. Very dry and focused. I had to lubricate the throw-off mechanism slightly out of the box, but once adjusted, it works flawlessly. Highly recommend for funk and jazz players.

Best value all-maple snare

I own several high-end snares, and this PDP Concept holds its own against drums twice the price. The all-maple construction gives it warmth, while the small size ensures a high-pitched crack. The black nickel hardware is a nice touch too.

Stunning aesthetics and sound

Perfect side snare for tight spaces

Solid performer

Very responsive to ghost notes. The True-Pitch tuning system makes getting even tension across the head very easy. Only giving 4 stars because the included batter head was just okay; I swapped it for a coated ambassador immediately.
