A: With SF Express Same-Day Shipping, delays are rare. If leaves arrive slightly wilted, you can revive them by placing the stems in water for an hour. If they are unusable, please contact us for a replacement or refund.
Q: Is this kit safe for children to handle directly?
A: Yes, the leaves are organic and free from harmful chemicals. However, we recommend children wash their hands after handling the leaves or silkworms as a general hygiene practice.
Q: How should I store the leaves if I don't use them all at once?
A: Store the unused leaves in the original breathable bag inside your refrigerator's crisper drawer at 4-8°C. Do not freeze them. They typically stay fresh for up to 10 days this way.
Q: Do I need to wash the leaves before feeding them to the silkworms?
A: Our leaves are cleaned and inspected before packing. However, if you prefer, you can gently pat them dry with a paper towel after rinsing, but ensure they are completely dry before feeding to prevent mold.
Q: Are these leaves suitable for large, mature silkworms?
A: These tender leaves are specifically harvested for small silkworms (instars 1-3). For mature silkworms, we recommend our 'Mature Leaf' variety which has thicker foliage suitable for larger appetites.
