Sturdy construction
The connection between the wood handle and the iron blade is very secure. No wobbling at all. I appreciate the rust-resistant coating as I tend to leave my tools in the shed where it gets humid.

Perfect for spring foraging
I bought this specifically for digging up shepherd's purse and wild garlic in my backyard. The narrow tip cuts through tough soil effortlessly without damaging the roots. It feels very sturdy and well-balanced.

Solid little tool
Great quality iron shovel. I use it mostly for weeding between my tomato plants. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the handle could be slightly longer for taller users, but otherwise excellent.

Durable and sharp
Arrived quickly and well-packaged. The edge came pre-sharpened which was a nice surprise. I've used it for three weekends straight planting bulbs and pulling grass, and it still looks brand new.

Good for precision work
Very effective for digging around delicate plants. It's not meant for moving large piles of dirt, but for the specific task of harvesting wild vegetables or precise weeding, it is unmatched.

Best gardening purchase this year
This artifact is a game changer. I was struggling with a regular trowel to get deep roots out, but this spade goes right in. The steel is thick and hasn't bent even in rocky soil.
Q: Does the handle come pre-assembled?
A: Yes, the tool arrives fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box. No additional tools or assembly required.
Q: Is the blade made of stainless steel or carbon steel?
A: The blade is made of high-carbon steel with a protective black coating to prevent rust. It is stronger than standard stainless steel for digging in hard soil.
Q: Is this suitable for planting small flower bulbs?
A: Absolutely. The narrow, pointed tip is ideal for digging precise holes for tulips, daffodils, and other small bulbs without disturbing surrounding plants.
Q: Can this tool be used in rocky soil?
A: Yes, the high-carbon iron construction is designed to withstand rocky and compacted soil. However, we recommend loosening extremely hard ground with a pickaxe first to prolong the tool's life.
Q: What is the best way to clean this shovel after digging muddy soil?
A: Simply rinse with water and wipe dry with a cloth. For stubborn mud, use a stiff brush. Avoid soaking the wooden handle in water for extended periods.
