Perfect for heavy fabrics
I use this primarily for quilting and repairing canvas bags. The weight of the machine keeps it stable even at high speeds. The straight stitch is perfectly even. It's a joy to use compared to my old computerized machine that kept jamming.

Good machine, steep learning curve
If you are used to modern machines, this takes some getting used to. There are no automatic features, so you have to control the speed manually with the pedal. Once you get the hang of it, the stitches are beautiful, but it wasn't plug-and-play for me.

Solid machine, needs some oiling
The build quality is far superior to modern plastic machines. It arrived a bit stiff, but after cleaning and oiling it according to the manual, it runs smoothly. The electric motor is surprisingly quiet. Took off one star because the cord was a bit frayed, but easily replaceable.

Grandmother would be proud

A beautiful piece of history that still works!

Best investment for a serious hobbyist
This machine is a tank. I have sewn leather, thick wool, and silk without any issues. The tension adjustment is mechanical and very precise. It's refreshing to use a machine that can be fully repaired with simple tools rather than needing a specialized technician.

A: Absolutely. This model uses standard domestic flat shank needles (System 130/705 H), which are widely available at any fabric store.
