Perfect for DIY Projects

Solid component

The aluminum alloy body feels premium. Output is linear across the range I tested (0-10kg). Just ensure you have a good ADC to read the analog signal effectively.

Excellent sensitivity

Q: How do I calibrate this sensor for accurate readings?

A: Calibration requires two points: zero load and a known standard weight. You must adjust the gain and offset in your code or amplifier software based on the raw values read from these two states.

Q: Is the wiring color code standard across all batches?

A: Generally, Red is E+, Black is E-, Green is A+, and White is A-. However, please verify with the specific datasheet included in your package as variations can occur between manufacturers.

Q: Can this be used outdoors in the rain?

A: The sensor has an IP65 rating, which protects against dust and low-pressure water jets. However, we recommend enclosing the electronic connections for prolonged outdoor exposure.

Q: What is the maximum voltage I can apply to the excitation pins?

A: The recommended excitation voltage is between 5V and 12V DC. Applying voltage higher than 15V may damage the strain gauges permanently.

Q: Does this module come with an amplifier board included?

A: No, the YZC131 is the raw load cell sensor module only. You will need to purchase a separate amplifier like the HX711 or HX803B to interface it with a microcontroller.
