Excellent component for prototyping
Fast shipping and the product matches the description perfectly. The digital output makes it very easy to interface with microcontrollers without needing extra comparators. A staple for my parts bin now.

Perfect for my Arduino security project
This vibration module works exactly as described. The sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very smooth, allowing me to fine-tune it so it doesn't trigger on minor ambient noise but catches actual bumps. Great value for the price.

Reliable and sensitive
I bought five of these for a classroom project on alarm systems. All five worked out of the box. The LED indicators are bright enough to see status clearly without being distracting. Highly recommended for educational use.

Works well but mounting could be better
Functionally, the sensor is great. However, the mounting holes are a bit tight for standard 3mm screws. I had to drill them out slightly. Once mounted, the detection range is impressive.

Good quality, clear instructions needed
The hardware itself is solid and the soldering points are clean. It took me a moment to figure out the optimal voltage for my specific setup, but once connected, it responded instantly to vibrations. Would recommend having a multimeter handy.

Great starter sensor
As someone new to electronics, this was easy to wire up following online tutorials. The sensitivity dial is intuitive. Only wish it came with a brief printed guide, but online resources fill that gap easily.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: There is a blue potentiometer on the board. Turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity (detect smaller vibrations) and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Q: Does this module output analog or digital signals?
A: This module outputs a digital signal (HIGH/LOW) when vibration is detected. It does not provide an analog amplitude reading.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this sensor can handle without damage?
A: We recommend operating between 3.3V and 5V DC. Applying voltage higher than 5V may damage the onboard comparator chip.
Q: Is there a delay between vibration and the signal output?
A: The response time is nearly instantaneous, typically less than 10 milliseconds, making it suitable for real-time alarm applications.
Q: Can I use this directly with a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, you can connect the DO pin to a Raspberry Pi GPIO pin. Ensure you use the 3.3V power rail from the Pi to stay within safe logic levels.
