Solid build quality
Compact design fits well in small enclosures. The soldering points are well-defined. Works great with STM32 microcontrollers.
Q: Is the module calibrated out of the box?
A: The module comes with factory calibration components. However, for high-precision competition requirements, we recommend performing a software calibration using a known reference voltage.
Q: Can this module directly interface with a 5V Arduino?
A: Yes, but please note the output is scaled to 3.3V max. You can connect it directly to Arduino analog pins, which will read values up to roughly 67% of the full scale, or use a voltage divider if you need full 5V scaling logic.
Q: What is the maximum current this sensor can handle?
A: This is a voltage detection sensor, not a current sensor. It measures potential difference. The input impedance is high, so it draws negligible current from the source being measured.
Q: Does it work with DC voltage?
A: No, this module is specifically designed with a transformer for AC voltage detection only. It will not output a correct signal for DC inputs.
Q: Are there example codes available for MSP430?
A: Yes, we provide a GitHub repository with example code for STM32, Arduino, and MSP430 specifically tailored for TI Cup competitions. Check the product manual for the link.
