Robust and reliable
Used this in an outdoor weather station. It has survived rain and freezing temperatures without failing. The 1-wire protocol makes wiring multiple sensors very easy.

Works as advertised
Standard DS18B20 performance. Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what it says. The waterproof seal on the probe looks professional. Deducted one star because the connector wasn't included, just bare wires.

Essential for soil monitoring
I use this to monitor soil temperature in my greenhouse. The stainless steel probe is durable and doesn't corrode. Setup was straightforward with my Raspberry Pi.

A: We recommend the standard 'OneWire' and 'DallasTemperature' libraries available in the Arduino Library Manager. They are fully compatible with the DS18B20 chip.
Q: Does this module require an external pull-up resistor?
A: Yes, the 1-Wire protocol typically requires a 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor between the data line and VCC. Some breakout boards include this, but if connecting raw wires, you will need to add one.
Q: Can this sensor be used directly in saltwater?
A: Yes, the stainless steel 304 probe is resistant to corrosion and suitable for saltwater applications like marine aquariums, though prolonged exposure should be monitored.
Q: Is the cable length customizable if I need 5 meters?
