A: Yes, the compact probe design is ideal for ducts with diameters as small as 50mm. Just ensure the sensor is placed in a straight section of the pipe, at least 5 diameters away from any bends or obstructions for accurate laminar flow measurement.
Q: Does this sensor require external calibration before use?
A: The sensor comes pre-calibrated from the factory. For most applications, no further calibration is needed. However, if extreme precision is required for specific regulatory compliance, we recommend annual verification against a standard reference.
Q: Does the package include mounting brackets?
A: Yes, the package includes a universal L-bracket and stainless steel hose clamps suitable for mounting on poles or flat surfaces. Installation screws are also provided.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for signal integrity?
A: For reliable communication at standard baud rates (9600bps), we recommend a maximum cable length of 1200 meters. Ensure you use twisted pair shielded cable and proper termination resistors for long runs.
Q: Can I connect multiple sensors to a single RS485 bus?
A: Yes, you can daisy-chain up to 32 sensors on a single RS485 bus. Each unit must be assigned a unique Modbus address via the configuration software or serial command before installation.
