Good value, works as expected
The sensor responds quickly when the magnet is moved away. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the included magnet is quite small, but it works fine for thin doors.

Easy to integrate
Plug and play with standard microcontrollers. The logic is straightforward: HIGH when closed, LOW when open (or vice versa depending on wiring). Great for learning interrupts.

Perfect for home security projects
I used this module to build a simple door alarm system with my Arduino. The detection range is consistent, and the LED indicators make debugging very easy. Highly recommended for beginners.

Solid component for classrooms
Bought a batch for our student workshop. Most students got them working immediately. One unit had a slightly loose header pin, but nothing a little solder couldn't fix.

Exceeded expectations
Very sensitive and accurate. I'm using it to detect when a drawer is opened in my smart cabinet project. The form factor is compact enough to hide easily.

Reliable and sturdy
Been using this in a prototype for a window sensor for two weeks now. No false triggers yet. The soldering points are clear and easy to work with if you need to add wires.
Q: Can this be used directly with a 3.3V ESP8266?
A: Absolutely. The module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with ESP8266 and ESP32 boards.
Q: What is the maximum current this switch can handle?
A: The reed switch itself is rated for low signal currents (typically up to 500mA), but we recommend using it for logic signals rather than driving high-power loads directly.
Q: Is the output normally open or normally closed?
A: This specific module uses a Normally Open (NO) reed switch configuration. The circuit closes when the magnet is near.
Q: Does this module come with the magnet needed to trigger it?
A: Yes, each package includes one small block magnet specifically paired with the reed switch.
Q: How do I mount this on a plastic enclosure?
A: You can use the two pre-drilled 3.1mm holes with small screws or double-sided adhesive tape. Ensure the magnet aligns parallel to the sensor for best results.
