Exceeded expectations
Bought the 10kg version for a kitchen scale prototype. The response time is quick, and drift is minimal after warm-up. Documentation online is plentiful which helps a lot.

Great for educational kits
We bought several of these for our student workshops. They are durable enough for beginners and provide consistent results. The price point allows us to stock up easily.

Reliable and compact
I've used these modules in three different projects now. They are small, consume low power, and the 24-bit ADC provides excellent resolution for small range weighing tasks.

Solid component for robotics
Using this to measure payload on a small robot arm. It handles dynamic weight changes well. Only minor issue is the soldering pads are a bit small for thick wires.

Perfect for my Arduino scale project
This HX711 module paired with the 5kg load cell worked flawlessly. The wiring was straightforward, and the library examples made calibration easy. Highly recommended for hobbyists.

Good accuracy, needs careful calibration
The sensor is very sensitive and accurate once calibrated. It took me a few tries to get the zero point stable, but once set, it holds weight readings well. Great value for the price.
Q: Does this module come with the load cell included?
A: Yes, this listing includes both the HX711 amplifier module and the strain gauge load cell of your selected capacity (1kg, 5kg, or 10kg).
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Absolutely. The HX711 operates within a voltage range of 2.6V to 5.5V, making it fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems like the ESP32 and Raspberry Pi.
Q: How do I calibrate the sensor for accurate grams reading?
A: You need a known reference weight. Use the calibration function in your code library to tare the scale first, then place the known weight and adjust the calibration factor until the reading matches the weight.
Q: What is the maximum cable length for the load cell wires?
A: For best accuracy and noise reduction, we recommend keeping the load cell wires under 1 meter. If you need longer runs, shielded cables are advised.
Q: Is there a library available for Python?
A: Yes, there are several open-source Python libraries available for Raspberry Pi and generic GPIO usage that support the HX711 protocol. Check GitHub for 'HX711-python'.
