Good value, clear instructions

Solid build quality and the terminals are robust. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram on the silkscreen is a bit small, but the documentation online cleared it up quickly. Great for DIY projects.

Reliable isolation

Perfect for my home energy monitor

This module works exactly as described. The active output makes it very easy to interface directly with my microcontroller's ADC without needing extra rectification circuits. Accuracy seems spot on when compared to my multimeter.

Excellent precision

Works well, runs slightly warm

The module performs well under continuous load. I noticed it gets slightly warm after a few hours of operation at max voltage, but nothing concerning. Just ensure you have some airflow in your enclosure.

Q: Can this sensor measure DC voltage?

A: No, this module is designed specifically for Single-Phase AC voltage measurement. It utilizes mutual inductance which does not work with DC signals. Please look for a resistive divider module if you need to measure DC.

Q: What is the maximum input voltage before saturation occurs?

A: The module is rated for up to 300V AC. While it may handle slight surges, we recommend staying within the 0-300V range for accurate linear output. Exceeding 300V may cause signal clipping or damage the unit.

Q: How do I calibrate the output to match my specific mains voltage?

A: Calibration is typically done via software. Measure the actual input voltage with a trusted multimeter, read the ADC value from the module's output, and apply a scaling factor in your code. Some versions include a small trimmer potentiometer for hardware adjustment.

Q: Is the output signal isolated from the high voltage input?

A: Yes, the module provides galvanic isolation between the high-voltage AC input and the low-voltage output side. The isolation rating is 2500V AC, ensuring safety for your control electronics.
